Pointing detection

The collar detects pointing using its motion sensor. If it does not detect sufficient movement for the configured period, it evaluates the dog as standing still and activates the pointing sound signal.

The time required to recognize that the dog has stopped can be changed using the Detection delay setting.

Detection delay

The delay determines how long the dog must remain without significant movement before the collar activates the pointing signal.

A lower value means that stopping is detected sooner.

A higher value reduces the chance that a brief stop will be incorrectly evaluated as pointing.
