Automatic collar track recording
X40 collars can continuously record the dog's route directly in the collar memory. Each time the collar is switched on, a new recording is created automatically and can later be downloaded using the mobile app.
The dog's position is recorded every 3 seconds, together with speed, altitude, bark detection, movement intensity, GPS status, and battery status.
If the collar remains on for more than 6 hours, the recording is automatically split into another part without interrupting route recording.
The memory holds approximately 80 hours of recordings. When it is full, the oldest recordings are automatically deleted and replaced with new ones.
A recording stored in the collar can fill in a missing section of the route when the dog was outside radio range and its position was therefore not recorded by the mobile app or handheld device.
In the mobile app, individual recording parts can be joined and combined with recordings created by the app or handheld device to produce the most complete record of the dog's route.
